The Aztec/Mexica empire was a more civilized and complex world before the European conquest (1519) It flourished because it was a stratified society, with a ruling class that demanded forced labor from commoners and the slave classes. This lecture will cover an overview of Aztec way of life and beliefs including their worldview and how it impacted daily life from birth to death and the hereafter.
