Description

As Disneyland approached its tenth anniversary, Walt Disney saw an opportunity to raise needed funds for the park by applying their technologies and artistry to make attractions for the 1964 New York World’s Fair. The Carousel of Progress, It’s a Small World, Magic Skyway, and Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln were made for the Fair and soon afterward brought back to Disneyland. The sponsored attractions allowed the WED Imagineers to refine their techniques and improve the way things would be done for Disneyland such as in Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion.
