Description
Édouard Vuillard (1868-1940), the French artist, is known mostly for his intimate and pattern-filled interior scenes and landscapes composed of areas of vivid color. A founding member of the Nabis, Vuillard was greatly influenced by Japanese prints. He painted many theatre sets, murals, decorative panels and portrayed his life among the women in his family.
