As long as there have been people, space has been set aside for sacred purposes. Such sites are often the result of spectacular and wondrous effort. To add to their mystery, we often do not completely understand how or why they were built or exactly what happened there. We will visit five sites: The Temples of Malta, Stonehenge, The Temples of Paestum, Chaco Canyon and The Cathedral in Siracusa, Sicily. All are fascinating examples of sacred spaces.
