Description
The James Bond franchise, the longest running franchise in cinema history, exploded on the scene with the Fleming novels in the 1950s and onto the movie screen in the 1960s. This course will explore how it all began in the mind and wartime experiences of Ian Fleming and how two little-known film partners brought an unknown Scottish actor named Sean Connery into prominence as the film series’ big star. Participants will also learn about the impact that the films had on the culture throughout the 1960s and early 1970s.
