Description
The invasion of Normandy was key event for the Western Allies in the defeat of the Nazis in WWII. In our first session we will go back 76 years to look at the extensive planning, the challenges of preparation and risky invasion of Normandy’s beaches. In our second session we will visit some of the key battle sites and memorials as they are today looking at how we have chosen to remember and honor one of the most important events of the 20th century. Join us as we combine history and travel to learn and enjoy.
