By the 1930’s Georgia O’Keeffe had fallen in love with the landscape of New Mexico and began spending her summers there. O’Keeffe’s move to the west and how it influenced her art will be examined. We’ll discuss the influence of both of her homes, Abiquiu, and Ghost Ranch. During these years she emerged as the most well-known female artists based on the strength of her work and the distinct image of herself that she cultivated.
