An item that has given us prestige, a concept that we tend to brag about, a quantity that we tend to keep secure under challenging times, and a fat ledger that we make sure we will have in our retirement days. That concept is Money. Money makes the world go around, and Money takes us around the world. But, what’s the history behind this fantastic concept?. Why do we value paper money even though it is just a representation of something else? Why do we believe our Money is secure in a banking institution? Money, as an item, has come from its distant past of Roman salaries (sacs of salt) to gold coins in the dark and middle ages to digital replicas in the computer era. The Money went from metal round representation with emperor’s profiles in their faces to rectangular plastic items called credit cards in the nineties. And Money has gone now to zeros and ones in the crypto era.  Let´s talk about this trajectory.
