Kathleen McCleery has been a broadcast journalist for more than four decades. She is an award-winning special correspondent and freelance producer for the PBS NewsHour, reporting stories on a wide variety of topics including politics, the environment, immigration, education, science, health care, and the arts. Before moving to New Mexico, she was the program’s deputy executive producer. McCleery taught journalism at Princeton University in 2016 and 2018, focusing on media coverage of US elections.
