Description
On the Spain-Portugal border, a survey conducted to begin constructing a large avocado farm revealed a massive prehistoric complex spanning 1,500 acres. Archaeologists found hundreds of standing stones and many other types of megaliths at the site. Many of the standing stones were grouped together on hilltops which provided an excellent view of sunrise during summer and winter solstices and the equinoxes of spring and autumn. This lecture will cover the discovery and much more.
