Description
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is the repository for all important records involving the federal government. Many people know it as the home of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, but NARA also holds copies of documents important to individual and family history as well, such as immigration, naturalization, and military records, many of them now accessible online. Historian Vincent Rossi offers insights into the history of NARA and the records it holds.
