Description

Transgender people are people with hopes, dreams, careers, goals, families, children and live “normal” lives. To be an ally of the trans community people must first examine their own stereotypes and phobia and be willing to advocate for trans people while celebrating the uniqueness of trans lives and experiences. The information provided in this presentation can be used to educate not only attendees, but their families and social networks about the trans community’s socio-economic disparities, lived experiences, histories and concerns.
