Description
The gut microbiome is a colony of mostly healthy bacteria that resides in each of us. A single individual has over a trillion bacteria which collectively weigh about three pounds. Emerging research shows these bacteria play a key role in a healthy immune system. They are also associated with diseases such as obesity, diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, depression and a variety of cancers. Yet most of us don’t know much about gut health or what to do to improve it.
