Description

Join this experiential program created by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. in 1979 at UMass Medical Center. The program provides participants with intensive and structured training in mindfulness meditation and movement practices, that they can then integrate in their own daily life. MBSR is an opportunity for self-care: it is not an alternative to medicine or any form of therapy, and it can be used both on its own
and as a complement to traditional approaches. Scientific research on the use of MBSR in clinical settings highlights positive outcomes emerging from increased self-awareness and emotional and attentional regulation, as well as reduction in anxiety, depression and chronic pain.
