Description

We will go to distant corners and around the corner, to distant times and yesterday to look at shapes. When and how were they recognized and why were they developed? Gone are the days when you learned all your shapes in day care, with an added layer of knowledge in math classes! In less than the last 50 years, new words have had to be coined to address realities that have always been but only recently recognized. From circles and triangles to fractals and scutoids we will visit this fascinating corner of the beautiful world of mathematics.
