Join professional artist, Hugh Leeman for a step-by-step lesson in art and history on the Renaissance where we will discover how new technologies, political upheaval, and global health crises set the stage for society’s great rebirth. While drawing parallels with our world today we will learn how to create our own Renaissance-inspired masterpieces. We will take inspiration from Brunelleschi’s linear perspective to start our compositions before studying Donatello‘s contrapposto in the figure. This class is ideal for any skill level. Suggested supplies are a #2 pencil, 8.5” x 11” paper (plain white computer paper will do), and a flat surface to place paper on.
