Description
Both Toulouse-Lautrec and the Nabis, a group of artists to which Vuillard and Bonnard belonged, were actively involved with show business in the 1890s. Toulouse-Lautrec made posters for nightclubs such as the Moulin Rouge, and collaborated with entertainers in branding themselves. Vuillard and Bonnard designed sets and programs for the avant-garde Théatre de l’OEuvre. This three-session class will look at their works for different venues, and at theater and entertainment in the belle époque. Register for this class if you will only be viewing via Zoom.
