Description

Physical therapist Nancy Alexander leads this fun workout that builds your bones and boosts your balance without having to get up and down from the floor. Perfect for adults who are less active yet want to improve their mobility. Participants must be able to sit at the edge of a chair and stand on both feet. This class is a series of sessions that integrates Pilates, strength training, functional movement and rehabilitative exercises to improve the health and longevity of your bones and joints. Though not required, this program is safe for those with osteoporosis and easily modified for those with osteoarthritis. Expect education for proper form in every class. Buff Bones® is a medically-endorsed, full body workout that only licensed instructors can provide. Always consult your physician before starting any new exercise program. Allow enough space for your hard chair (preferably without arms) and space around it to move (approximately 5 feet total on either side). Please be near a wall (or stable surface) to use for some exercises and also for your safety with balance activities. Please have a light resistance band and a bottle of water ready for use.
